Word up over at OLW. i said NO, NO, NO... Denise's fabulous words of wisdom this time around. I decided to tackle an altered book/mini this go around thanks to Jessi & my subscription to Cloth, Paper, Scissors (the Digital Online Subscription....love it). I had found this 4th grade reader at a thrift store & it seemed perfect for the job. Used lots & lots of Kenner Road kits. I ripped out the inside of the book & stitched in pattern papers instead. Wrapped the ribbon around the outside & inside as well.
The front cover photo was printed out on canvas paper. I stitched all around it, an idea from Cloth, Paper, Scissors. Decided to tie off the ends of the thread into a pattern. Here are some of the interior pics.
I used my dymo label maker for the journaling. I think I am going back to add in some deeper thoughts. There are more pages in there but sadly I ran out of the orangish tape. Probably a good thing because my hand was hurting after all that clicking.
I am off to spend time with the hubby on one of his days off. Until then...Love & lots of it.
