one of my favorite Christmas moments was Finn's announcement as he slid the curtains open. Andy & Phil built Finn, the nephew, this puppet theater upon my recommendation. It has magnetic chalkboard on the top & bottom. I ended up making him fruits & veggies (Patterns by UmeCrafts) so he could play Farmer's Market, complete with his own canvas tote. Part of our homemade Christmas. i must admit, i am ready to start homemade creations for next Christmas. Who's with me???

It combines two of my loves, crafting plus cooking. Maybe next year i will add in sewn bags. These Purple Onion stamps make it so easy...
Of course I had to sample them. It's a hard job but someone had to do it.

I admit it. I do have some, ok a lot of guilty pleasures. I also admit that i only feel a little bit guilty about them. Using Fancy Pants Frosted Line, I created this layout for the All About Me Challenge. Honored to be the GDT this month. Little splashes of paint here & there. Stitched under & around the journaling strips. Used my kraft letter stickers to create the title.
So tell me, what's your guilty pleasure?
The Gingerbread house didn't last too long. We demolished it, that is ate it. It's all about the journey right? I love this tradition in our house. I love that the kids ask when we are building it. Use Fancy Pants Christmas Magic line to create the layout. I painted some chipboard brown and placed my rub-ons on it. Popped up elements here & there. Sprayed the chipboard with Frozen Lake Glimmering Mist.

my favorite part was Paige throwing a mock fit to get a ride on the carousel.. so worth it, she actually sat down on the zoo road yelling "I want to go on the carousel NOW!"

A couple weeks ago i saw this frame at Target & thought i could do something with it for Christmas. It was only $8. I slowly began just playing around with each little frame, trying to decide what words i wanted to use & how i wanted it to look. An then the idea hit me to have Christ as the center of the message. The more i played around, the more my idea solidified into a sort of retelling of the Luke Story. The various frames represent parts of the story, some Christian traditions, and a place to hold our Christmas wishes each year, that is how we are going to bring Christ into the season.
I used my Cocoa Daisy December kit. I love love love the Pink Paislee mistletoe & CO line in this kit. It was perfect for this creation. I love the layers in each frame. I love how it all came together. I ended up taking out the glass because of the textures & envelope. I am a textures kind of gal so i am totally ok with no glass. about our house. it seems to be the spot for teens to come & hang out. i am ok with that. Last week, Lexi & friends made some of these gingerbread hug cookies. They were excited to do some of our christmas traditions.
