Restored

I so love Restoration from Crate Paper.  I opened that box and started tearing up.  I just loved how each paper was so colorful yet vintagey.   I mean it really screamed my style of "Uptown Antique Brie."  And those chipboard pieces...sigh.  Its one of those collections you don't want to cut up.  Luckily i had this 7 gypsies ATC holder waiting for this moment.  Each tray has some kind of meaning to me.  The heart locket belong to an great aunt & even the bicycle rub-on has special meaning.  I really should write down my thoughts with each cubby.  Here are the details below....click on photos to make larger.

Traditions by Fancy Pants.  i always think of Fiddler on the Roof when i hear the word Traditions.  Even now i hear the song in my head and Tevye saying..."I'm the Papa."  The new Christmas line is really really beautiful.  I just let the paper sit on my desk while ideas churn in my thick skull.  The Gingerbread house was the idea that i couldn't let go.  I built this house out of excess chipboard.  The kids were watching my progress.  Lexi declared "We are doing more of those this Christmas."  Sigh.  She gets me.  She really gets me.  I can't wait to create a whole village with them!

1 punch + lilybee paper + that gorgeous lily bee rub-on = a rainbow happy layout.  Can you believe that is little Lexi at about a year or two of age.  She loved that hat.  And that is the only stuff animal to not be named...simply called "the bunny."  He is the one in the "Good night Moon" book, another childhood love.

love it. it is my favorite pizza.  he has really turned pizza making into an art.  captured a bit of the process. 

My Days

have been very blessedly filled these last couple weeks.  Parker has been here since the 4th of July.  He has grown up & matured so much in this past year.  I am so happy have his hugs, his giggles, and time with him.  I am blessed John lets us get our fill of the boys & knows how important our time with them.  I know my sister Chrissi would want this too.  Pman has been out & about in the neighborhood playing with his friends.  Yet another blessing, he made lots of friends when Chrissi, John, & the boys lived with us and each summer they look for his return.  They were ringing the doorbell even before school let out.  My sister Rose, aka Ro, moved to town mid-May has been able to spend time with him too.   We are soaking up all the time we can.  Partner continues to cracks us up with his Parker wisdom.  Just the other day at the dinner table after dropping a chicken nugget or two, looked up at me and said "Boy, I'm a Mess."  and a couple days after being here he said, "Do you think you could call Grandpa?  I want to go spend the night there?"  I said sure and asked him what night would you like to go.  "Tomorrow.  I think I will need a break from here then."

I created this little 8 x 10 canvas with no destination in mind.  After weeks of trying to figure out where to put it, i have finally come up with a solution.  I am going to send it to one of you.
