I am thinking of doing a video of this room so you can see it all at once. It has really come together over the last months. I think the key was being patient. I would have loved to blink my eyes and have the room done. Life isn't like that and neither is decor. In fact i think i am happier with the slow build of this room. I appreciate it even more knowing i searched for the "perfect" items and didn't give up hope. I also love that there are little bits & pieces of our history in here. Treasures.... from our travels, family heirlooms, & tools & technology of past decades.
So here's a little peek into the other part of the room that is coming together so nicely. (Click on the pictures to make them larger).

Jessi & Jason were happy to go antique hunting with me at a local antique mall. It isn't all geniune antiques and you have to hunt in the booths but i love that part. Andy not so much. The above piece is an old sewing chest turned into my accent table. i love that the sides flip up to hold magazines and maybe even some knitting.

The writing table was another great find. It is the perfect size for the wall and i am so stoked to have it. The foot stool below needs to be recovered. Andy & I built it long ago. The size & shape totally works for the room. I am hoping to find a nice typography print. The chair beside the table was the last furniture find in the room. Jessi & I couldn't believe it...perfect. Love the scripty print, love the style, love how it complements the room.

The idea of the collection wall, aka stuff wall, has been brewing for a long time. In fact if you dig through my tumblr Fuel you will see my obsession with it. While shopping, i picked up some pieces to add to the collection of stuff. Jessi spotted that bike that i totally love! She also brought the "Hope" decor as one of my birthday presents never seeing my previous blog post. This is how well she knows me. I love that there are bits & pieces of my life, my friends, my family on this wall. Gi, Jessi, & I a year ago (or so) did a "ohhh Look at this" im chat one night. The print was something gi showed me and i fell in love. The love never wanes and now this beauty is hanging on the wall. KL is up there too with that fabulous "P." Elina's necklace compliments the vintage hook nicely. I will still wear it but i think its forever found a place on that wall too.
Some of the open frames are getting colorized aka Ronda style. I am thinking lime, red, & yellow. But i wanted them up on the wall so everything had a place. Jessi & i worked the stuff like a giant puzzle on the floor. So happy she was here to help. And then Jason jumped in and hung up everything for us. Andy was totally grateful. It's so not his favorite part instead he made us pizza.
