I created this "Us" mini album using the beautiful Scroll Edge Chipboard Binder Album. My husband Andy & I celebrate 17 years of marriage this past summer & i wanted an album just about us. I covered the front with tissue paper and then used a Maya Road Heart from the Canvas album. I love the sheer alphabets and will show you a little tip down below on how to "color" them with Mists. The canvas flowers went perfectly with a little mist washed across them. Love the banner chipboard and the rub-ons fit perfectly on it.
The interior pages were so fun to create using lots of Maya road products, especially those mists.
I wanted to show you a quick tip on how to color those Sheer Alphabets. You can either color the front for a loud splash of color or flip the piece over to have the color peeking through the sheer.
Next apply some clear liquid glue and drops of your favorite maya mists. This one is Turquoise Metallic.
I like to use my finger and just rub the mixture of clear glue & Maya Mists over the entire letter. You could add in other colors as well just making sure you use similar colors (Analogous) or you will make mud.
It's so easy to make those sheers pop with Maya Mist. Once it is dry, i sometimes take a black pen and trace along the outside to make the letters pop even more.
Have fun getting messy!
