to finish decorating my house. The library is room that i feel is completely done. Now i want the rest of my house to have that same feel. So i have slowly been collecting little pieces building my color palette for one room. This is my goal, one room at a time. I cannot do the whole house at once despite my need for it to be done in the blink of an eye. It's a silly notion to think it can be done that way. I should be enjoying the process anyway, working in layers until i have the perfect little room. and then move on to the next room until the house is complete.
The room i am working on is a bedroom. I am using the color palette above with a pale yellow going on the walls. I hope to paint it next weekend. The bed is a beautiful white patchwork quilt comforter I found at target. Love it. There will be small accents of black, greys and chocolate brown instead of the dark taupe color. You can see those colors in the pillows and globe. I want to find the balance between masculine & feminine. I have old world maps and postcards from our travels ready to adorn the walls along with a few vintage surprises. I really love how this room is coming together.
