Alexi made a leap this year. Last year she was in California going to school at Concordia University Irvine. She loved the classes and the freedom but being away from family led to a very homesick year. She would text, call, & Skype telling us how much she missed Colorado and family, something she didn't expect. She was so very lonely and it really showed. So this summer she started the transfer to Colorado State University.
CSU is about 45 minutes from home. We were uncertain if she would be able to transfer because of her delayed application. Housing was another issue. Blessedly everything worked out and not only did she get approved, but she got her first choice in dorm halls. I went with Alexi to her advising appointment and we both left feeling this was the right choice for her. Now she is settled in and has started her first week there. I can tell by the texts, photos, and phone calls she has found her place.
and we get her close to home. Life is good.
