The last create daily I talked about going monochromatic. I love that some of you shared your pages with me. LOVE them. This week, let's talk about Black & White. Scientifically speaking, White is the color (of light) that contains the whole spectrum of colors. Black is the absence of color, therefor the opposite of white. Together these two make stunning creations. Black & White pieces are easy to create on the go as we all have pen & paper. The above page was made with black ink (Ranger's Archival ink) and stamps. Love the open space and the very graphic but whimsical feel of those leaves.
Pen & Paper. Here i am using my my Uni-ball Vision Rollerball pen. I also like Staedtler Lumocolor Permanent Markers. Both are waterproof which is a must for me. This Doodle started out slowly with me adding to it bits at a time. Love how the page is filled with black & white goodness.
Splatters of spray ink make an interesting background. Here i used Maya Road Earl Grey & Silver Metallic. I stamped the 2013 around the page and then added in some hand written journaling.
Black & White paint also very cool together. Here this art journal page started out with Black Gesso. I journaled on the black and then covered it with white paint. I love the bits of black peeking through the background. Tiny hints of color make the black & white pop even more.
