It's time to introduce you to the next of my new stencils coming out in January with The Crafter’s Workshop! Today I am sharing with you my Honeycomb Stencil. As popular as the hexagon motif is, I wanted to shake things up a bit. I added some dimension and tweaked the basic shape to create a whole new look. It makes for a graphic yet intricate background. And you know I love a good background. I also love to play with the trends. My Honeycomb Stencil in both 12x12 and 6x6 sizes satisfies both!
The first tag is paint through the stencil. The second tag is stamping with the stencil once it was covered with spray ink. I love both the stencil & reverse stencil looks.
Again the first tag is paint through the stencil. The second tag is stamping with the stencil once it was covered with spray ink. The petite pattern is just so darn cute!
How about these two with layers of color. The first tag is Dylusion spray inks. The second tag is painted background with a layer of Maya Mist over the paint.
Here's a look at three different gelatin prints using my gelli arts 6x6 printing plate.
This art journal titled "stronger & wiser" uses both the 12x12 and 6x6 stencils. Also on the heart shape is the kaleidoscope stencil.
On this layout I use the 12 x 12 stencil with my favorite water soluble crayons, NeoColor II along with some spray ink. The photo is from the Jacoby photo session. I love this capture of my friends. The quote is from ee Cummings, one of my favorite poets. There is hidden journaling under the glassine paper.
This tag uses the 6x6 stencil with watercolor crayons & a black pen.
So do you have any ideas for this stencil?
