I love creating tags. They are such an easy way to jump start my creativity. Lots of times i am just playing around trying out new color combinations. This tag started out as an embossed tag using my kaleidoscope stencil (like you can see here). I went on to paint it with pink, grey, yellow, and black. You can go check out more of the process to create this tag at the My Mind's Eye Blog. One of the top questions i get asked is how to use these tags.
From tag to layout. You can create tags to get your creative juices flowing. Then if you create a tag your love you can use them on your layout. Take those creative pieces and bring them together with a photo you love to tell your story. On this layout you can also see my honeycomb stencil with distress inks in the background. This layout makes me giggle. While i cannot be as tall as Christine (and yes Nat & I are just standing next to her, she is head & shoulders above us), i can be the best me i can be. And happy with friends always brings out the best in me.
Here's a layout i created oh so long ago for Cocoa Daisy. Instead of a tag, this layout uses an ATC (Artist Trading Card) i created as a base for my photo. I encourage you to use tags or atcs as play just to get the creative juices flowing. Then take the ones you love and turn them into layouts.
Coming up soon, lots of CHA photos & creations. Plus my favorite releases from Winter CHA.
