Love my pie chart stencil? Well you're in luck because Cocoa Daisy's February Double Feature Kit includes the 6x6 version of it. It goes on sale to the public at midnight on Feb. 1st and it looks to go quickly. i absolutely adore this kit and cannot wait to get my hands on it. And i have some pieces to share with you from the design team using the pie chart stencils. What until you see how they used this stencil.
i love how Lisa sprayed two colors to create a back drip to her page. She went back and filled in the divider lines and the word love with a black pen. i adore how she has the green/aqua in the center and the yellow on the outer edges of the stencil.
i love how Denise sprayed, painted, and paper piecered her pie chart. She made the word love stand out by putting it in black which also ties into the black titles around the page. Did you notice too that it's popped up off the background?
Would you believe this is Jody's first time using a stencil? Me neither because her ideas are just brilliant. Jody sprayed the pie chart using one color and then added in embellishments to each section, even using some wood embellishments found in the kit as masks. If that wasn't cool enough, she turned it into a spinner of love to document a special day with her daughter.
In this layout, Jody sprayed & sprayed again. It's a great way to get a repeating element, in this case the love, by simply turning the stencil and spraying another layer. i love the elements in & around the pie chart. Are you getting a sense that she loves her kiddos?
Mandie equated the pie chart to pizza & pizza to family night to come up with this super cute layout. She used a precision pen to color in the stencil and patterned paper on the non-designed portions of the pie chart. i totally love the repeated black elements. Mandie shows how if you want a precise image, just grab a black pen & go!
Mandy confesses she's a bit of a clean scrapper. i love that no matter what kind of scrapper you are, you can still create with stencils. On this layout, she took the stencil, patted Versamark all over it, and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. This very graphic stencil became am uber cool tone on tone image in the background.
I love how Anna used the stencil as a focal point with her photo. Anna applies a thin coat of gesso to the patterned paper and the used distress inks to color in the stencil. Next she use a black pen to color in the other areas. i love the love sticker hanging out the side and at the top, repeating the word love, say it with me, THREE times.
Kim used the stencil in such a unique way. She glittered a few of the triangle pieces and then cut them out using different sections of the chart. i absolutely love the layered look of her pie chart. i wanna reach out & touch it.
First off, dude Ashley Calder is using my stencil. As in Scraptastic Ashley. Ok now that i have settled down, well mostly, let's take a look at how she used it. She sprayed the stencil twice and pieced together the open parts to create a whole new look. Totally digging the gold slice with the pin pennant.
Ok so let's see. One 6x6 pie chart stencil, 9 very different ways the designers used it, allowing their voices to come through on their layouts. Did you get some new ideas on how to use this pie chart? Me too!
