One of the things i love about this
industry, this hobby, this art is how it brings people across the globe
together. How we can find inspiration across the world and bridge
our cultural gaps, make new friends, and learn from each other. Even
though we live in so many different places and speak so many
different languages, we are United by Art. I love to go blog hopping and finding this
inspiration, seeing other people's approaches to mixed
media art & scrapbooking. I like to share (with their permission of course) people i
find along the way.
United by Art #15: France Papillon
Country: Belgium
I found France through a student of mine. She told me about France's art journal videos and suggested i check her out. I love it when people share inspiration with me. France makes all kinds of art including art journals. She also shares vidoes detailing how she creates in her journals. I wanted to share with you some of her creations including art journal pages, atcs, tags, canvases, and more.
I love the colors on this journal along with all the texture using tissue paper. The small tag is beautiful too.
Love the colorful circles on the right of the atc. The tree in pink is beautiful. The pop of the yellow dreamer title is just the right touch.
I love the layers on this canvas. The dark brown on the background is perfect for all these colors. I love the textures too!
This homemade journal is stunning. i love the crackles on the cover along with all the other layers. The metal rings is so stinking cool. I love the blue and yellow with the brownish/orange background.
Love this bright colorful page with the heart taking center stage. i wish i could see the page in person to sift through all the layers. I love how she grounds the colorful page with touches of neutrals.
This cool little piece is actually made out of a cardboard box. it looks like burnished metal right? Super cool.
This never apologies page is so very cool. i love the mostly monochromatic tone of the piece. You can see how it all comes together on the video below.
Did you happen to notice a Well Rounded stencil ;) i hope you find France as inspiring as i do. She shares lots on her blog so make sure you dig deep to see all her creations.
