One of the things i love about this industry, this hobby, this art is how it brings people across the globe together. How we can find inspiration across the world and bridge our cultural gaps, make new friends, and learn from each other. Even though we live in so many different places and speak so many different languages, we are united by art.
I love to go blog hopping and finding this inspiration, seeing other people's approaches to mixed media art & scrapbooking. I want to share (with their permission of course) people i find along the way.
United by Art #13: NINE
Country: France
I came across Nine through some blog hopping. Once site lead me on a trail to another. You know how it goes. Pretty soon you end up at a blog you think is so cool but leaves you wondering how you got there. (and too many back arrows to go through to see). So here i am at Nine's blog and just loving her art journal pages & layouts. So very beautiful. And like me, she has a love of color. So i wanted to share Nine with you as well as some of her stunning pieces.
I love the bold word across the page with all the textures. Love the little phrases embodying her philosophy.
I love the analogous color scheme along with all the layers. I love that she used a doily and butterfly on a boys page.
this mostly monochromatic layout is just stunning. Love the black elements, the eyelets, and the bold use of blue.
Everywhere i look on this page there is something new to see. I keep dissecting the layers, like a visual treasure hunt. I want to reach out and touch this page.
Dude. The photo. oh my goodness, the photo. and once i stop staring at that, i get deeper into the background. Love the splashes of color and how the name is in color and the "en technicolor" is naked. genius layout.
the colors are so rich on the art journal page. I totally love the big bold journaling on the left opposite of more of a soft but strong title on the right. it speaks volumes.
love the color scheme on this one too plus the strip of green where the blue & yellow collided. Love the grouping on the left with the triangle of black shapes.
i just love the layers of this one. The grouping of everything in the middle. all the subtle stamped images. The colors against the black & grey, and the balance of the wood pieces to accent the title and photo.
i leave you with this beautiful heart. Can you sift through all the bits & pieces to make this gorgeous piece come together? I could so see this as a print on a wall. Simply Stunning.
Thank you Nine for letting me share your fabulous colorful art.
