A sweet fairly simple card using my new purple onion stamps from Paislee Press/Liz Tamanaha. I admit i have a scrappy crush on Liz Tamanaha. If i was to become a graphic "clean" scrapper, i would love to be this style. I cannot help admire it and love looking at her pages. As it is, i'll stick to graphic "messy" as it truly is my style. Here are some simple steps to create the above card.
- Cut a piece of white cardstock or watercolor paper.
- Clear embossing "Late 1800 script" stamp onto it. (My script stamp was a little dirty but i kind of like that look)
- Paint over the clear embossing with your choice of medium. Here i used watercolor crayons (aquarell) from Caran d'Ache.
- Stamp "Be Seated" onto cardstock with waterproof archival black in and color in your choice of chair. I used Copic Markers. Cut out the chair.
- Stamp "Hello" from the "Happy Mail" stamp set and cut it out. Ink edges of sentiment to give it some pop.
- Place script image onto background card patterned paper and stitch down. Layer half cut doily onto left side of the script background.
- add hello sentiment to the right of the doily. Next add stamped chair with a pop up adhesive.
- tie ribbon at the top and add a vintage button.
I love how inviting that chair looks. Makes me want to grab a cup of tea & a friend to sit & chat.
