Discover is a layout i completed recently for the Cocoa Daisy Crop as a Guest Designer Challenge. It's a cool little challenge and i thought i would take you through the layers of this layout.
- the background started on watercolor paper with a layer of gesso using a palette knife to create light texture. I wanted to give the background a washed looks so i brushed on some Earl Grey Mist and the wiped it off with a paper towel.
- The bright vivid Blue, Yellow, and Green drips are Distress stains. Super easy to rub on in layers to create the modeled look. The orange & red drips are paint.
- Film strip ribbon is something i could put on every layout. It's just so cool. The yellow & blue trim is leftover zipper trim from this blog video.
- a tag to bring a bit of the grey up to the top. crazy stitches in black.
- Instagram photos from our (Emily & Me) day of discovery. I am addicted to documenting every day life through my i-phone.
- Journaling down the edge in black to ground the layout along with a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamp to echo the sentiment of the layout.
