Instagram has changed the way I take daily photos. I love those little squares of everyday life. Take for example the above photos. I love my camera but it isn't something i bring to dinners with my husband. However the iPhone is always close by for a quick shot of life. Documenting the right here, right now. This layout is part of the December Challenge at My Mind's Eye which includes my sketch for you.
The background paper is so beautiful so I just wanted hints of texture that didn’t take away from the patterned paper. I used modeling paste & my kaleidoscope (6x6) stencil to create subtle details. I picked the bright papers of The Sweetest Thing from My Mind's Eye to pop against the neutral background.
I love how easy it is to layer in My Mind’s Eye embellishments to add details to a layout. The enamel dots and stamped images really complement the splatters of spray ink and hearts. I placed the journaling on the side next to the stamped images to complete my layout. Now you might want to check out that challenge because you could win your favorite My Mind's Eye Collection.
